For one of the most important breweries in Spain, PREMATECNICA has applied its more than 50 years of experience to carry out the turn-key project of the biogas transfer system from the sewage treatment plant (STP) to boilers, located more than 1 km. away.
The scope of the project included the basic and detailed engineering of the renovation, as well as the manufacture and installation of the equipment required for it: a new, fully automated flare, a system of side channel blowers to send the biogas produced with the consequent reduction in the consumption of natural gas required by the process, boiler inlet cyclone separator, instrumentation and associated valves, as well as assembly, installation and commissioning.
The project is part of a strategy to optimize energy consumption (reduction of power consumed and therefore costs) and valorization of biogas produced, reducing carbon emissions.
