The pandemic the world is suffering is teaching us certain important lessons.
Companies which undertook their digitalization processes timely and well before the beginning of 2020, have found themselves in a much better position to continue their activity as usual even during the hard months of confinement. A danger which, at least in Spain, is looming AGAIN during the next months.
PREMATECNICA S.A. has been fortunate enough to be one of such Companies and all our labor force continued to work from their homes without any disruption to be appreciated. Only the field technicians have kept helping customers at their sites, braving the danger of infection. I am proud to say that, up to now they have been saved any disease.
We now alternate TWO days in the office and THREE days home office. In doing so, we have learned another important lesson: we do not need a plush (and expensive) 450 square meter office being used by a maximum of 8 persons daily and no visitors knocking at our door due to travel restrictions and quarantine requirements. Incidentally, the dual working method office/home is here to stay. We shall keep on, even after de pandemic has disappeared.
Therefore, we have cancelled our lease at CAMINO FUENTE DE LA MORA, 5 and have arranged an office at the upper floor of our workshop: the base floor is intensively being used for repairs, upgrading, warehouse, etc. as before. The first floor holds enough office space for the reduced number of staff who need to work from the premises sometime.
