A success story and a challenge for the future
In these times of rapid change and globalization accelerated the economic and business world, exceed 50 years of continued presence of PREMATECNICA in the Spanish market is cause for pride in a company. For pride, but also for reflection. It has been something more than five decades in which the Company has evolved in parallel with the Spanish economy and adapt its business model and the effort of its staff to the profound transformations that the country has suffered since.
Our company profile has changed substantially from those modest beginnings in Madrid in 1961, when we were only a small team of professionals armed mostly with enthusiasm. Those years were the 60's, in which the Company's business was focused on the importation of equipment, mainly from the U.S., for the nascent industry of refining born in the heat of the industrialization drive that marked those years of economic development.
But soon we realized it was not enough and that was not enough to bring equipment and sell on the market. As the economy grew, our customers increased their demand for increasingly sophisticated products tailored to their specific needs, and more value added services we paid them. In response to these demands, PREMATECNICA expanded its manufacturing activity in Spain partial complex equipment like torches high, generator sets and gas separation systems, among others. And, in parallel, we established a helpdesk to deal maintenance and repair of park equipment supplied, especially steam turbines, compressors and pumps.
In the early 80's, another milestone marked the evolution of the company: the creation of PREMATECNICA DE MEXICO, a tightly integrated partner in the Mexican market difficult process industries. The drive towards globalization did not stop there, as evidenced by the establishment of trade links with the process industries in Portugal, where we count on a loyal customer to that visit regularly.
The 90's, with the continued growth of the Company by the trust they deserve to their customers, has seen the addition of several internal developments in the fields of NH3 cooling, gasoline vapor recovery, incinerators, etc. Finally, the new millennium presents a PREMATECNICA installed in spacious and modern offices with a complete integrated management system, with a branch in Seville and very active in the additional fields related to fire protection, biogas plants, turbines for biomass and treatment synthesis gas.
This review of the history of PREMATECNICA be incomplete without a mention of the two groups that have done most to celebrate this year a success story. First, successive generations of employees and collaborators, whose efforts and dedication have been the foundation of our growth. I think we can say that we have succeeded in extending our entire organization a sense of identification with what it means to work in PREMATECNICA: the taste for things well done, the continued interest to remain at the forefront of new developments and the constant concern to meet the client in all their technology needs. Therefore, I want to thank the effort to the current staff and all those who have been part of our team over the years.
And I also want to acknowledge the support and trust over the years we have given our customers. With the vast majority of them have succeeded in establishing a collaborative relationship and trust that goes beyond mere commercial transaction. We are concerned fully understand their needs and goals, turning in some way in ours. They have responded by stepping up our signs of confidence, so I want to also express thanks.
I mentioned at the outset that this is also a time for reflection. While we can certainly be proud of the work done, nothing is further from our intention to succumb to the temptation to rest on our laurels. Now is the time to redouble the spirit of innovation and effort that has moved us over the years and brand new even more ambitious goals. To achieve them, we have the indispensable collaboration of all. You are deployed to it.
